Chemical Protective Suit
A chemical protective suit with a wide visor, giving full-body protection against acids, alkalis and hazardous chemicals.
Description
Protects personnel from head to toe during chemical leaks, spills and hazardous material response. The hood, wide-angle visor, gloves and boots are integrated with the suit, so the skin is never exposed. In laboratory tests its rubberised fabric showed no permeation after one hour in 80% sulphuric acid, 60% nitric acid, 30% hydrochloric acid and 6.1 mol/L sodium hydroxide. The nylon base fabric gives the coating high breaking and tear strength. Service life is 5 years when stored as specified. Suited to ships carrying dangerous goods, chemical plants and emergency response teams. The suit should be chosen according to the chemical hazard and working conditions.
